A Message from the Science Laboratory

Hello everyone,

We are fast approaching the end of term one. Our CREST students have completed their scientific theory coursework, where Miss Elizabeh Borschman has amazing skills in mind mapping and project ideas planning in Year 7.

Students have also undergone Sirius College’s first ever CREST incursion to boost their science and technology research skills - thank you to Miss Sumaia El Sayed for co-organising the event and sharing her knowledge with the girls.

Students are now planning their projects and finding mentors (Mr Bihter Altuntas is mentoring our engineering students with his electronics experience, and Miss Safiye Sertkaya is inspiring our budding young scientists in Year 8. Many are attempting Silver level CREST projects).

We expect student proposals for Silver and Gold level CREST projects to be completed soon.

It is wonderful to see some girls have already begun their project work, and we look forward to seeing innovative and exciting projects that will help the world!
